Free time, then focus

A daily YouTube time limit that only counts distractions

A flat limit on all of YouTube punishes you for watching lectures. Focus Filter counts only the videos that are not about study, then switches blocking on when your allowance is gone.

Only distractions count

Study videos are free. Time on blocked channels, blocked keywords and Shorts is counted, whether the video is playing, paused on screen, or playing in a background tab.

Reminders along the way

A small timer shows on those videos. You get a reminder at an interval you choose and one minute before the time is up.

Instant blocking at zero

When the allowance ends, filtered videos stop playing right away and stay blocked until tomorrow.

Hard to cheat on a weak moment

Resetting the day's usage takes a ten second wait and typing a confirmation word. Turning the extension off has its own barrier, with a short pause option instead.
