Block YouTube Shorts on Chrome, for good
Shorts are a bottomless scroll: fifteen seconds, then fifteen more, with no end screen to wake you up. Focus Filter removes them from YouTube instead of asking you to resist them.

What gets blocked
The Shorts button disappears from the left sidebar and the mobile-style bottom bar. Shorts shelves vanish from the home feed, search results and channel pages. The Shorts tab on channels is hidden too.
What if I still open a Shorts link?
Shorts links are disabled, and if you land on a youtube.com/shorts address anyway, you get a clear go-back page instead of the player. In Focus Guard mode a guilt-trip clip plays as well.
Works with the rest of your setup
Shorts blocking is its own switch, so you can combine it with channel and keyword filters, a daily time limit and Study-only mode.

Does this block YouTube Shorts on Chrome?
Yes. Install Focus Filter, keep the Shorts option on, and Shorts are hidden and blocked on youtube.com in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
Can I remove the Shorts button from the sidebar?
Yes. There is a setting that removes the Shorts button from the left sidebar completely.
Will normal videos still work?
Yes. Only Shorts are affected. Regular videos and lectures play as usual.
